Bavarian Database Day 2026 | About

The Bavarian Database Day (BDBD) is an annual one-day workshop bringing together researchers and industry professionals from the database community to present cutting-edge work, discuss future directions, and connect with each other. The workshop will take place on October 26, 2026, in Munich, Bavaria.

Minsky’s 1974 frame-and-slot approach offered a powerful way to model domains but struggled because schemas had to be manually translated into databases and validation rules. LPG Modeler by Volodymyr Pavlyshyn addresses this by compiling a single YAML schema into multiple graph, RDF, and schema formats while preserving constraints and clearly reporting where they cannot be carried forward.
